Call the Police, There's a mad girl in town...

oh oh oh!

Well I was on the verge of tears for most of the flight! By the way I watched V for Vendetta, which was good... and another British creepy film about some psycho best friend which wasn't really.

Yesterday I sat in Washington Square Gardens all day, sunning myself and finishing Kerouac. It was great. I don't know what I'll read now. I bought Cat's Cradle by Kurt Vonnecut, Nine Stories by Salinger, and In Cold Bloody bu Capote. What do you think I should read next?
Last night Erin and I had dinner, then Erin's friend James came over who I'd never met before. We went to a bar called Union Pool that has a fun Country themed night on Mondays. I got drunk on 3 Jack and cokes, tipped the bartender 3 dollars and we had our photo taken in a photo booth twice.
I've attatched the result.

I hope you're well and you have fun down south.

I have just been asked by some people I know to create some artwork to be featured at the next Northern - a party in Old Street. I guess that's a collaberation. I took the pictures for them last time...

So, I'm making a Wingdings-esque type of font - all the characters are a superfluous object that could constitute making someone 'happy' in out society (but relates to a letter e.g.I for iPod, J for Jaguar or Jewellery etc..

I was thinking (as I clearly should be)... What makes people happy? And is it possible to create happiness in contrived situations, or is it only possible to make people feel a 'nice' sensation. Hmmm. Films and music and books and stuff make me happy. But also people do - and parties, and experiences. Is there a difference between the happiness a nice song makes me feel and the happiness of seeing my baby sister? Of course. I guess then I'm concerned in recreating the nice, almost superficial happiness that comes with superfluous things. It's nice. Oh yeah - I smiled at strangers today in Liverpool Street Station. They either thought I was a fruit, or they thought I was on drugs. But either way they smiled back. And I felt much better for smiling.
This blog business is strange...

I wonder how much a bouncy castle is to rent...

Today

I was wondering what made people happy - in terms of songs and objects, and experiences et al. Basically - reacting towards a comment made by Luke on Monday about Socialism, I've been thinking more and more about how to please people from all walks of life, appeal to the masses - instead of a select niche - what I'm used to doing. This is difficult. Maybe I am a Socialist. It's fun not to have made your mind up yet. Anyway - I was thinking - I'll make a viral - something that makes people feel nice - like the Sony (?*) bouncy balls or Jonny Hardstaffs dripping paint. Clearly I won't attempt to make something of that standard - but something with that vibe. That people can send to one another, that maybe brightens up their day. I hate those contrived Forwards though.....
Hmmmm What's a girl to do???
